Cosmic Solutions’ Despatch Planning application models what shipments need to be made in order to provide sufficient stock in different geographical locations; this ensures the demand forecast is met. The application takes into consideration lead times, target stock levels, sales forecasts, container sizes etc. to model the pipeline as closely as possible without investing in costly order tracking solutions.

Clients often implement one of our other forecasting modules first and then later implement the despatch planning module into the same application so that the two functions are integrated. In this way, the impact of changing the forecast can be quickly modelled and areas of over stocking or shortfalls identified before the forecast is published.
